Brass C260 T-Bar, Precision, ASTM-B16, 0.022" Thick, 1/8" Width, 1/8" Height, 12" Length (Pack of 3) Feature

  • Precision Milled T Beams^Milled from 1/2 - 3/4 hard^C260 Brass^Malleable^Easily Soldered and Brazed
Precision Milled Brass C260 Profiles are 70 percent copper 30 percent zinc. This is one of the most widely used of the copper-zinc alloys; it is malleable and ductile; has excellent cold-working; poor hot working and poor machining properties; develops high tensile strength with cold-working. Rated excellent for soft-soldering; good for silver alloy brazing or oxyacetylene welding and fair for resistance of carbon arc welding. Used for miniature profiles, drawn cartridges, tubes, eyelet machine items and snap fasteners. 1/2 to 3/4 Hard

Stainless Steel 316 Round Rod, ASTM-A276, 1/8" OD, 72" Length

Stainless Steel 316 Round Rod, ASTM-A276, 1/8" OD, 72" Length Review

Stainless Steel 316 Round Rod, ASTM-A276, 1/8" OD, 72" Length Feature

  • ASTM-A276
  • Superior corrosion resistance.
  • Widely used in the marine industry.
  • High temperature Strength
  • Low Temperature Toughness
Stainless Steel Rod Type 316 ASTM-A276 A slightly higher nickel and molybdenum content produces superior corrosion resistance. Welding characteristics are very good. Widely used in marine environments and in applications that requires exposure to acetic acid compounds, and other chemical corrodents. Stainless Steels are alloys of iron and carbon that contain between 12 percent and 30 percent Cr, plus other alloying elements. The chromium, which helps develop a passive surface oxide film, provides corrosion resistance in stainless steels. Stainless Steels are wrought or cast and consist of several families that are named for their metallurgical structure. Stainless Steels are fabricated and welded by all common processes and are used for their corrosion resistance, high-temperature strength, scaling resistance, and low-temperature toughness. Density is .29 lbs./in3. Formability is good, and cold working results in increased strength. This alloy is non-magnetic in the annealed condition, although it may become slightly magnetic after cold working. It can be hardened only by cold working, and not by heat treatment.

Aluminum 6061-T6511 Rectangular Bar, 0.125" Thick, 0.5" Width, 72" Length

Aluminum 6061-T6511 Rectangular Bar, 0.125" Thick, 0.5" Width, 72" Length Review

Aluminum 6061-T6511 Rectangular Bar, 0.125" Thick, 0.5" Width, 72" Length Feature

  • Excellent corrosion resistance
  • Versatile for medium to high strength requirements
  • Use for transportation components, recreation products, machinery and equipment
  • Good finishing characteristics
  • Min 38 ksi tensile strength
Aluminum 6061 is one of the most widely used alloys in the 6000 series. This standard structural alloy, one of the most versatile of the heat-treatable alloys, is popular for medium to high strength requirements and has good toughness characteristics. Alloy 6061 has excellent corrosion resistance to atmospheric conditions and good corrosion resistance to seawater. This alloy also offers good finishing characteristics and responds well to anodizing; however, where cosmetic appearance is critical, consider the use of alloy 6063. For screw machine applications, alloy 6061 has adequate machinability characteristics in the heat-treated -T6/-T6511 condition. Chips from machining (particularly turning and drilling) can be difficult to break in the -T6/-T6511 temper condition. Chip breakers are recommended, and special machining techniques (i.e. peck drilling) can improve chip formation.

Bunting Bearings ES0022 SOLID x 2 3/4" OD x 6 1/2" Length Powdered Metal SAE 841 Solid Bar Review

Bunting Bearings ES0022 SOLID x 2 3/4" OD x 6 1/2" Length Powdered Metal SAE 841 Solid Bar Feature

  • Self Lubricating Bronze Bearing; SAE 30 Oil provides ideal lubrication in most applications
  • Large Working Temperature Range, 10 F to 220 F
  • Conformance to ASTM chemical and physical properties
  • Non Magnetic
  • Corrosion resistant
Bunting Bearings offers a complete line of stock plain bearings, flange bearings and washers made of P/M bronze. Bunting sintered bronze stock bearings have long conformed to ASTM chemical and physical properties, and are the first to include all ASTM standard sizes to ASTM recommended dimensions and tolerances. After forming, sintering and sizing, the bearings are vacuum impregnated with SAE 30 oil that provides lubricant which is metered from the bearing to the shaft during rotation. Standard off-the-shelf oil impregnated bronze bearings should function satisfactorily in temperatures ranging from 10°F to 220°F.
